Wedding crashers: Denver

"Okay, what's our back story?"

"We're brothers a couple from New Hampshire. We're venture capitalists."

 "I'm sick of that. Let's be from Vermont. And let's have an emerging maple syrup conglomerate."

"Wait, that's stupid. We don't know anything about maple syrup."

"I happen to know everything there is to know about maple syrup! I love maple syrup. I love maple syrup on pancakes. I love it on pizza. And I take maple syrup and put a little bit in my hair when I've had a rough week. What do you think holds it up, slick?"

We didn't really crash the wedding, I had an invite, but Wedding Crashers  is an awesome title and it made you want to read this post to see if I really had the guts to crash a wedding. Well the answer is no, I do not have the guts to crash a wedding.

It's wedding season! Up first? High school friend and home of fried spiders, turned my financial guru is getting married in Denver. Gypsy Friend is my date, gettin' him off the farm and into town for a few hours! 

The Wedding Date
The wedding was at Hudson Gardens, a beautiful botanical gardens and events complex in Littleton. The ceremony was held at Monet's Place, a little spot tucked away surrounded by gardens and water features. It was beautiful, even when it tried to rain on the ceremony.

The cocktail hour and reception were held on site, and this fancy food was amazing! Beautiful wedding and I had a great time catching up with some old friends from Limon and celebrating James and Andrea's new life together. Congratulations and I wish you many, many years of happiness!

WILW: laugh 'til it hurts

[Linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday] A few years back, OKTrailerPark Friend and Snowboard Friend and I went to Canyons in Utah for a girls weekend. We had a slope side condo, reduced price lift tickets, wine and the resort swimming pool. Now when we vacation we do it up right. We snowboarded and rode the alpine slide by day and by night we soaked in the pool, wore sweatpants, cooked dinner in our condo, played cards, drank wine and watched this YouTube video....over and over and over and over. the.best.ab.workout.ever. Whenever I'm having a sub-par day, I pull this video out. I mean I do have it favorited on my work computer even! If this video doesn't make you laugh, go to the emergency room NOW! Painting with a twist

I've seen several of my friends post pictures from their adventures of painting at various bachelorette parties and bridal showers. I was amazed that I don't have one single friend who isn't an accomplished artist! When Colorado Transplant Friend told me about the Arts Council's plan to bring Painting with a Twist to Green River I said to count me in! They chose Starry Tree for our masterpiece. When i showed up I was very disappointed to see a blank canvas staring back at me......and I mean blank! What the crap?! Where is my paint by number.....mine will never look like the "example" Here you can see the progression of my masterpiece....I think the most important thing is to finish the step and then put down the paint brush....anything I tried to "fix" yeah, that wasn't a good idea!
