More beautiful than you think
I've seen this idea floating around lately, but never took the time to watch the video until a few days ago.
How I think of myself: chunky, round red face, stringy boring brown hair, trying to hide from reality, lonely, not quite getting the whole big kid life thing quite right. I wonder what my purpose and place is in life.
As I floated over this commercial without watching it and talked to a few people who hadn't seen me in a while, they made comments that made me think.....I'm more beautiful than I think I am, inside and out. Comments like "Do you ever stop smiling?" or "You are the only person who is still smiling after 2 days of training, looking at a 4 hour drive home". I don't really know about the physical attributes and what others think of those, but honestly I think those physical attributes often are brightened, made shiny, and more attractive by what we have inside, what we do for others, how we conduct ourselves.
How do {I hope} others see me: healthy, athletic, happy with shining, happy eyes. Smiling, loving life, carefree (but not too carefree), responsible, dependable.
I'm not gonna lie, I wish I could have sat in on this social experiment!
We are more beautiful than we think.

“I should be more grateful of my natural beauty… it impacts the choices in friends that we make, the jobs we apply for, how we treat our children… it impacts everything… it couldn’t be more critical to your happiness.” “Do you think you’re more beautiful then you say” “Yeah.”….

You are one of the most beautiful women out there, inside and out. Don't let anyone tell you any differently.
ReplyDeleteOk, so I finally broke down and watched it! Definitely something to think about...focus on the positive!
