California girls - part 4 [el moro canyon hike]

After leaving San Francisco, I headed down to southern CA to visit California Girl and her family. Even though the weather was less than desirable, it was what I still considered wonderful! Besides for eating like a queen in southern Cali, we hit up the hiking trails between Newport Beach and Laguna Beach to burn off a few calories and catch a great view of the Pacific Ocean.



We knocked out about 3.5 miles with an amazing view of an overcast Pacific Ocean. I can't even imagine how HOT it gets in the canyon in the summer, because it was cool and I was sweatin' up a storm. Sea level yes, but this place had some real mountain hills!

WILW: laugh 'til it hurts

[Linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday] A few years back, OKTrailerPark Friend and Snowboard Friend and I went to Canyons in Utah for a girls weekend. We had a slope side condo, reduced price lift tickets, wine and the resort swimming pool. Now when we vacation we do it up right. We snowboarded and rode the alpine slide by day and by night we soaked in the pool, wore sweatpants, cooked dinner in our condo, played cards, drank wine and watched this YouTube video....over and over and over and over. the.best.ab.workout.ever. Whenever I'm having a sub-par day, I pull this video out. I mean I do have it favorited on my work computer even! If this video doesn't make you laugh, go to the emergency room NOW! it's a wrap: 2016 goals

Checking in again, halfway there on those 2016 goals. If you missed the story behind those goals, click here and here and here and here when I checked in at the end of each quarter. 1. GET A HOBBY - Let's be honest, I can't really afford many more hobbies. The upside of having a lot of hobbies, there is always room to devote more time and attention to said hobbies (especially since I have several "new" hobbies, less than 3 years old.
