Work disguised as vacation: Thermopolis, WY

We wrapped up class and I passed the final test, then headed south for Wyoming. I stopped in Meeteetse for lunch at the Cowboy Bar...quite possibly the best beer battered fries I've ever had.

The plan was to overnight in Thermopolis before heading the rest of the way home on Friday. And its a good thing, I am exhausted! Stayed once again in a hotel with a real key. I'm tellin' ya, real keys are the way to will hear more about that philosophy later.

I treated myself to 9 holes on the Thermopolis Legion golf in the evening followed by a ribeye. yum! It was my first time golfing solo and I had my best round ever! 48...with only a few cheats :) its vacation worries!

Up and at 'em this morning after taking a relaxing dip in the World's Largest Mineral Hot Springs at Hot Springs State Park and back to the road....its a long ways from Billings to Rock Springs!

On my travels back homeward, I took a couple little breaks to stretch my legs at the Wind River Canyon.

When I finally got home, it was to the office for a couple hours before rushing home to get packed to leave for our camping trip at Montpelier, ID and boating at Bear Lake.

  1. You're too cool to be my friend. Oh, ya know, I ate beer battered fries, golfed, and the had a ribeye all in a days work. You're awesome.

  2. World Traveler! Looks like a tiring blast! :D

  3. Seriously, what Tiffany said! Aren't work trips like that the BEST?! I love taking days off, doing whatever I want, knowing that I'm getting paid for it :) FABULOUS!
