The grinch

I love Christmas. I love the reason for Christmas, I love coming up with great presents that the receipient will just LOVE, I love the snowy weather and warm comfort food, I love decorations and lights. But this year, I’m a Grinch and I really don’t know why. I’m just having a hard time getting into the annoying, happy, smiling, not-a-care-in-the-world spirit.

I don’t have any decorations up because I’m selling my house, I’m going to be working on some final projects on Christmas Day, my shopping is done, but I don’t feel as I got any earth-shattering awesome presents for anyone this year. Stuff they will like? Yes. Stuff they need/want? Yes. Earth-shattering awesome? No.

So for these final days before the big hoo-rah, my mission is Christmas spirit……I’m going to hang some lights right now, maybe that will help.

  1. I felt like that a bit last year. Then I did my 26 acts of kindness and completely was back in the game. You should do an act of kindness just to see if that helps. I'm going to put money in three Christmas cards and carry them around with me in hopes that I find people to give them to. Last year I gave one to an old lady in Wal-Mart, the girl who was hauling in baskets at Target and a mom with a bunch of little kids who were really well behaved in line. It was awesome.
