I wanted a red dodge since the day I turned 16. In fact, I got one for my birthday and I believe it was of the 1/32 scale size. When I was paying for my own 2nd set of  wheels, I got an identical red dodge in life size as a junior in college. Big Red and I put on some serious miles. We moved from Colorado to Oklahoma to Tennessee to Wyoming together. We hauled hay, we hauled horses and we hauled college kids. I love this pick-up and I wasn't sure that I could ever physically hand over the keys. But then, along came Loretta. Loretta is a bit of an upgrade from Red and eases the pain of sending Red down the road to her new owner. Loretta is a 2011 Ford F-150 Lariat....in silver. Loretta has many fancy schmancy features that I never even knew that I needed such as a backup camera, power fold mirrors, heated/cooled seats, auto slide seats, bluetooth, dual climate control and 4 doors! Over and above Loretta, the fact that Red is going to one of my absolute favorite familie...

Friday night

It used to be that Friday night was reserved for grabbing a few beers after school to go home and get ready to go out on the Strip, usually closing down the bar and hitting up the MacDonalds on the way home (in the early hours of "tomorrow"). But I think its safe to say I've outgrown that stage as I'm usually in my sweats before I'd even be leaving the house in the "old" days. You really want to impress this girl with a Friday night? How about a Taken marathon and drinking whiskey and diet before heading to bed at a decent hour. I'm there. Or maybe hours on hours of Phase 10 with some friends in the trailer park? Count me in! How about a little fire while sitting around on coolers bag chairs (much more comfortable) with some cornhole. Can't get me away . Want to go all out? How about a small town dance. Done deal. And there you have it.....big Friday nights!

The struggle isn't as hard as it used to be

I am 2.5 months into my Chalean Extreme workout plan where I have (mostly) faithfully been working out...minus yoga....yoga doesn't count in my professional opinion. I've made some progress on the weight loss front, but more importantly I don't dread working out. I am actually finally getting to where I look forward to my workout, even when its at 5 am and that is a great feeling folks! In the beginning I stuck to Chalean Extreme workout videos and old folks volleyball. Now, I'm starting to add in a few other things to keep it interesting and hopefully really kick the weight loss into gear...like Spin class! In addition to the workouts, I've been a faithful My Fitness Pal-er, logging in 73 consecutive days! YAY me! I can't believe how often I am still shocked by the number of calories there are in certain foods. Foods that I didn't give two thoughts about putting in my mouth before. Before you think I've gone health nut on you....I still have craving...

We all spend too much time on FB, that is correct, I'm including you in this we.....I don't want to be alone so I automatically group everyone into the "too much time on FB" group. Sorry if I offend. I recently "liked" American Cattlemen on FB because of this photo that was shared on my newsfeed. If you don't think this photo is awesome, well then we just probably can't be friends anymore. So anyway, I had to like American Cattlemen on FB after this photo and now my newsfeed is filled with awesome ag pictures all day......and I love it! There sure are a lot of talented ag folks out there!!! I've included a few of my favorites from stalking browsing the American Cattlemen page. Obviously I didn't take any of these and have done my best to give credit to the photographer. All of the pics are from the American Cattlemen FB page from followers. I look forward to seeing new pictures posted to their page each day....it just might be the...
