Learned to drive with one of these babies....not that I drove after dark much, but perched on the edge of the seat so I could reach the headlight dimmer, gas pedal and get the clutch to the floor....yep. These days kids don't even know what a headlight dimmer on the floor is....or a clutch.

 Hungry, hungry hippos. and that is all I have to say about that.

I like to drink whiskey and cokes out of these nowdays. Super awesome find at the thrift store if I do say so myself. Pretty sure I didn't drink out of anything else for a good few years growing up. Smurfs are awesome!

Contrary to what my sister thinks I am NOT the only one left in the world who uses one of these things.....never fear, I asked the lady at the bank to make sure!

What else is an oldie but a goodie because they sure don't make things like they used to!

    Ah, the good ol' days! I totally still use a check register---I don't know what people do who don't!! How can they sleep at night?

[Linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday] A few years back, OKTrailerPark Friend and Snowboard Friend and I went to Canyons in Utah for a girls weekend. We had a slope side condo, reduced price lift tickets, wine and the resort swimming pool. Now when we vacation we do it up right. We snowboarded and rode the alpine slide by day and by night we soaked in the pool, wore sweatpants, cooked dinner in our condo, played cards, drank wine and watched this YouTube video....over and over and over and over. the.best.ab.workout.ever. What i'm loving wednesday: winter

[Linking up with Jamie at  This Kind of Love for What I'm Loving Wednesday!] One kind word can warm three winter months. ~Japanese Proverb I'm LOVING..........Winter I love winter! but I hate shoveling snow. As it snowed around here (finally AND 2 days in a row!), I thought about my hatred for shoveling snow....I think if it were either light before I went to work or after I got home, maybe shoveling wouldn't be so bad. So snow and winter go hand-in-hand, how can I love winter if I don't like shoveling snow?   Playing in it of course! Christmas markets, throwing snowballs, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, hot tubbing, cabins and fireplaces, hot snock-o-late, big snowflakes, crisp untouched fields blanketed in fresh snow. Losing the farm

When I tell people I work for the Farm Service Agency, I either get a knowing nod like "oh you are one of those government employees" or I get a "what do you actually do?". I've started leading off with working for the US Department of Agriculture because most people have actually heard of that that. We are a small agency within USDA that administers the farm subsidy, disaster and some insurance programs of the Farm Bill. The farm bill is made up of 15 different titles addressing different areas.
