Mommy for a day
Saturday I played "Mommy" for a day. Colorado Transplant Friend and Little Boy were scheduled for some "intensive potty training". I think I got the better end of the deal, although I'm sure Little Boy did great. My plan of attack against a 9 month old? Wear her out! (so we Aunt Jen can take a nap). I'll hand it over to Miller Baby for the rest of the story.
First things first, we did a little volunteer work at the National High School Finals Rodeo. Aunt Jen and I were at horse check-in where we were responsible for chatting with contestants and their parents, make them feel welcome in Rock Springs ya know!? While I checked health papers, Coggins papers and stall assignments before sending them on to the brand inspector, Aunt Jen put the mane tags in. I was a pretty big deal at horse check-in! Aunt Jen completely screwed up my schedule and I took a nap before we ate lunch at......1:30! But since its kinda her first day, I didn't even cry. We stopped by Mom's house and ate lunch while Little Boy was napping. I think Mom was glad to see me and feed me some yummy squash for lunch! For dessert I had my favorite....a graham cracker!
Then I went with the boys to Wendy's where I tried really hard to sweet talk them into giving me a french fry. I got the offer of chicken nuggets but Aunt Jen wouldn't let the boys give me any....I have 2 teeth, I don't know what the big deal is. All that work flirting with the boys (they really liked me) made me tired so we went home and took a real afternoon nap....I think Aunt Jen needed it more than I did, but I humored her and slept for an hour.
Then Aunt Jen's friend, Snowboard Friend came over. They are going to Yellowstone, I think that is a long ways away. I just got back from South Dakota so I don't think I would want to go to Yellowstone.
Even though we didn't make it to shopping at the trade show, where I'm sure Aunt Jen would have bought be some cute cowgirl clothes, we had a good day! I think Aunt Jen is sorry that she didn't take any pictures.....she says its hard to corral me, my stroller, my bag and my big girl sippie cup. Oops.
