I am horrible with needles, but I tried to go as part of my 28 Acts of Kindness, but they would not take my blood because I had been in Costa Rica within a year.Tiffanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05884647798001916687noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147407049906216023.post-54673768285463836302013-05-07T10:44:06.362-06:002013-05-07T10:44:06.362-06:00I have given blood a couple times, but for some re...I have given blood a couple times, but for some reason the last 2 times I tried to donate they just couldn't get enough blood to flow! I also have really difficult veins, and one time they couldn't even find the veins...hey, at least I tried! My grandpa used to go all the time, as often as he could. I admired that in him a lot. Glad there's people out there like you that donate often as well :)Nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00129860380061595692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147407049906216023.post-28429793266351485282013-05-07T09:40:48.469-06:002013-05-07T09:40:48.469-06:00Amy thank you! And yes you should still find out your blood type :) Try the muscle tensing even if its for blood work...maybe it will help?Jen@Almost Gypsy Soulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03569328036215461023noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6147407049906216023.post-15772013603566390392013-05-07T09:18:10.380-06:002013-05-07T09:18:10.380-06:00Ironic that you wrote about this. I get shaky, nervous, and turn white as a sheet every. single. time.

Therefore, I (*hanging head in shame*) have not donated blood. Maybe someday I'll brave up enough to do it.

I don't even know my blood type. I should find that out....

Great post, Jen! You're a hero.

-AmyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
